Nueva Andalucía occupies an ideal location just a few minutes from the glitz and glamour of historic Marbella and lively Puerto Banús, close to the natural beauty of the Sierra de Ronda and Sierra Blanca mountain ranges and San Pedro de Alacantara which is an unspoilt pueblo village just a ten minute drive away.
Nueva Andalucia is an attractive area just behind Puerto Banus to the west of Marbella. As its name suggests, the villas, apartments and townhouses here are based on traditional Andalucian architecture and design with whitewashed buildings and red tiled roofs.
To the north of the prestigious Puerto Banús and its marina, El Corte Ingles and within the boundaries of Golf Valley, Nueva Andalucía is one of the most exclusive and sought after residential areas on the Costa del Sol. It has received massive amounts of investment in recent years and has a superb infrastructure with excellent amenities.
There is a bullring is at the entrance Nueva Andalucia which is no longer active and is due to undergo development to become a luxurious shopping complex and theatre. There is a gymnasium in the town centre, a number of tennis and paddle tennis courts and several championship golf courses in the immediate vicinity.
Nueva Andalucía has some excellent restaurants ranging from the standard pizza and pasta eateries to a New York deli and the exclusive Ivy Marbella. Centro Plaza offers all local amenities under one roof with hairdressing and beauty salons, banks, bars, restaurants, offices, interior design shops, jewellers and telephone shops. Nueva Andalucia is a thriving commercial centre which also has a large street market (rastro) which starts at Central Plaza and leads into Puerto Banus every Saturday morning from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm.
Nueva Andalucía has several international schools, including Aloha College which is an independent, co-educational day school for pupils aged between 3-18. It has an excellent reputation and provides an international education for pupils of 38 different nationalities.
The Casino Marbella is also located in Nueva Andalucia and has roulette, blackjack and poker tables as well as a great variety of slot machines, excellent restaurant, bar and live shows during the high season.
